Vampire scream is an object representing current trends of wide use of digital printing in combination with purely natural materials. In this case, UV printing technology allows to get modern concept of design while keeping and emphasizing the real and rough surface of slate stones. While increasing the potential of this natural material, it opens up new horizons in interior design, works of art and other specific areas at the same time.
After removal of impurities from the surface of slate stones, it was necessary to find the ideal position of particular stones and to consider the best position in relation to surface roughness. The composition of stones were placed on the table of a large format UV flatbed printer. Another important step was to set printing height as close as possible to the surface of objects and to set the best parameters of this print job. The data of image was processed in software rip. A special white layer printed on the surface of these stones was generated directly out of the image in order to achieve better printing effect. It was followed by direct printing of the image. No varnish or a special top coating was used for finishing the print.
